When I first began transcribing my journal onto my computer, I realized there was a bunch of vocabulary that not everybody knows. In my research and my time hiking, I had become fluent in “backpacker”. I’ve been trying to explain some of the words and phrases as I write, but I figured it would be a fun idea to have all of them compiled together here in my very own dictionary! I’ve been adding words and phrases below as I think of them, so this post will likely be one I edit often. I hope you find it interesting and use it as a fun reference while you read along with my thru hike!
